Aro Valley Preschool is extremely proud to have been awarded runner-up in the Education & Child/Youth Development section of the community awards held Thurs July 31st 2025

We would like to thank Wellington Airport Regional Community Awards for their support of community volunteers.
We also would like to thank our past and present parent committee members for their ongoing voluntary work that keeps our preschool community connected and growing.

50th Anniversary!
Sat Oct 12th 2024 we celebrated 50 years of preschool - a huge occasion for community education.
We were joined by our Mayor, Tory Whanau, and Wellington Central MP, Tamatha Paul, along with Councillor Iona Pannett, preschool families, kaiako from past and present, Governance committee members from the past and present and local supporters who have had a connection to preschool over the years!
We were generously donated a cake by AroBake https://arobake.co.nz/ to cut and share - we thank our local bakery for their support!
We had Charlie come along with their facepainting - excitedly taken up by both children and adults! Check out their instagram @face.paintforcoolkids
Delicious kai was generously donated by Mamba Cafe https://cafemamba.co.nz/ Helen Baxter and preschool families.
A big thank you also to the Holloway Road Inmates band - many of whom are past parents of preschool, who came and entertained us with some music on our special day!
A fantastic celebration of 50 years serving the needs of whanau in our local community!
